Will Double V Edge Void Warranty?

I will just sharpen mine out naturally at most.
I had a trip with some guys yesterday and my 13 vastly outperformed a few American and Italian made knives the same size . The Chisel grind that everyone says is on the wrong side works amazing and cuts straight enough through an apple.
Its mostly a mental thing, cuz when you use it. It does very well.

I always assumed that the chisel grind was oriented as it is to facilitate a uni-directional (away from body) stone sharpening method for right handers. That is how I figure it, as the design philosophy seems to be function first. Not drawing a blade toward yourself when touching up quickly or on the run seems sensible.

From the Emerson FAQs....

Why do you put the chisel on the front or left side of the blade?

This is an Emerson signature. Being the knifemaker who brought the chisel grind to worldwide recognition, we are often asked; Why do you put the grind on the opposite side of a traditional Japanese Chef’s knife? The answer is simple….We are not making chef’s knives. Our knives are hard knives meant for hard users. We do not cut many tomatoes. Our tests and those of a major government agency determined that there was no difference between right and left side grinds for use as a tool or weapon. The left side was chosen for purposes of visual cue and reference.

Yep!^
But, that Hartsfield guy got the chisel ground blade some recognition too.
