Will Home Owners/Renters Insurance Cover Knives Lost in Checked Baggage

If your insurance covers items lost in luggage at all, it would cover knives in your luggage, I would think.
 
Check with your agent also. Riders for firearms and knives are not very expensive. Many companies will allow riders for transportation.
 
Don't forget the deductible as that definitely won't be covered. My is $250 and it is unlikely I would be carrying knives worth more than that unless I was returning from a show.
