Will Simichrome affect an anodizied handle?

I use Simichrome to polish my blades. I was wondering if I used it on an anodizied colored titanium handle will it mess it up? Also what about anodizied aluminium,will the color come off?

Don't use it.

Any abrasive polish will eventually remove anodizing, even something as mild as Simichrome.

Well taken point on abrasives. I use a product called Magic Rub on blades, but have never used it on titanium anodizing and it's about as mild as it comes. Magic Rub is a cotton fiber charged with cleaning chemicals which work well on stains in steel, but shy away from using it on softer metals or anodizing if you want your knife to look new.

I sometimes use toothpaste for this kind of cleaning. It is slightly abrasive but nothing like metal polish. Use a white one; the gel types won't do it.

I rinse it off with hot water (no mouthwash needed! ) and then use a quick shot of WD40 while the knife is still warm from the water.

Really brings out a shine!
