Will the blue anodize wear off??

What do you think guys? On a BM 42, will the anodized blue wear off under normal handling? Has this happened to anyone? Thanks...
 
I'm sure it will eventually. I've had mine for ~7 mos. now though and even using Concealex sheaths I haven't had the anodizing come off except where the latch rubs the safe handle.
 
Same thing has happened to my bm42a Mykl Clark. But i only had mine for about 1 month now. Also there will be a score mark on the latch from where it hits. I think that is about all.
 
It took mine a very long time for any wear to show up. But now that I look at her more closely I can see some more marks on the latch itself. Other than that I'm very pleased so far. The thing I want to know is how well the new black coatings will hold up.
 
The BM I have with me now, I've had for about 6 months. The safe handle has turned a shade lighter from use, as I hold that side about 90% more than the other. I have no doubts that with time, it will become even lighter. I have the normal latch wear marks too. So I'd say that the anodizing is not wear-proof, just wear-resistant.
