Will this drill press do what I need?

I'm looking to get a press that will drill straight holes through handle material and 3/16 or less steel pre-ht. Will this cheap harbour freight one do that for me?

I have the HF drill press with the keyless chuck, which is pretty similar to that one. It's not the best machine in the world but it will do its job reasonably well.
