Will this knife saw wood ?

Ive been searching for a Survival type knife that will double as a saw. Ive never seen a sawback knife that will actually cut through wood. I came across this design. It looks like it may work. Will it cut limbs and saplings/

I thought the Rescue had a double row of teeth which is a very good sign.

Yes Rescuer does. But honestly I don't think this is a great sow. It designed to brake things, cut rob and other hard materials where you don't want to use edge of a blade.

Al Mar SERE FxBlade w/sawback will saw wood pretty well as far as sawback knives go.

i myself have an al mar sere sawback and its one of the better survival knives i own... its lightweight and just an all around good knife

I've got a couple of the Federal-Super model -- it's got a good saw back. I've also got a Nona and a Chieftain -- As is common in the American market, I prefer the thicker 5mm blades.

I had a federal -super and regret parting with it. Saw back was a good wood cutter. Well balanced knife with a large blade great for back country.
