Will this rust my knife?

Got it taken apart and cleaned out! As stated by some, it only has basic parts so was pretty simple to get back together, oiled up and drop shut smooth again with no dirt grinding. Thank you all for the advice!

Where's the scratches?
I've been a bicycle mechanic for years. Before professionally, my friends used to bring me their bikes to work on. I had an original CRKT M16 aluminum in my pocket, way before the auto lawks. Buddy brought me his bike late at night, super dark out. He goes, it's making a clicking noise (single speed bike). I go out to ride it, get down the driveway, onto the road maybe 40 yards and the road has a slight incline. I put some torque on the pedals hoping to hear the click and boom, chain snaps. I went down on the knife, scraped off a good bit of aluminum and had a bruise in the shape of the knife some time later. I still have that knife.
I know it sucks now but I find and I "damage" a knife I end up using it harder and making more memories with it than one I try to keep nice.

Water is fine to use on your knives. I routinely wash my blades with water then I just blow them out with my mouth.

Ended up being not nearly as bad as I thought, I wiped the handles down with oil and what I thought was scratches, was just rub marks or something and came right off. Think I really lucked out on this one, could have been much worse, and I thought it was. Only thing that didn't disappear was this small area around the frame lock, and that's only a couple small dots. Even the new laynard and bead I just put on a few days ago didn't get anything permanent
