I worked in a friends shop on the blade I just posted but will be setting up a shop soon.I got this at the scrap yard. It's the vertical part of a fork lift tine with a bit of tine left. It's 1-1/2"x 8"x25" and to guess it's 50-70 lbs.
That was going to be my next question. Should the work surface be with the "L" cut piece up or down? If I put the "L" down there are two steel hangers on the back side. There seems to be plenty of forging room between them and I thought I might could thin down a hidden tang over the hanger.I don't have enough experience though to know if the hanger would get in the way.
I could mount it over a big stump cut or two 6X8's set in a concrete foot.
