I have bought a few K’roo knives and I’ve found them to be very well made and with a unique aesthetic flare. I’ve also enjoyed chatting online with Willem O’Kelly, who is the man behind the label and knives.
A little while back I had a custom Zulu made by Willem. The pivot began to move a bit so I asked him if he would tell me how to adjust it. He said he’d take it back and make sure everything was set right. Well, COVID happened and his wife also has some health issues and South Africa itself has its own problems and the knife had to stay longer than either of us expected or intended. It was the sort of situation where things could have gone sideways quite easily.
However, Willem completed the adjustment and got the knife back to me this past week and I just want to let everyone here know that if you get a knife from Willem he’ll stand by his work and also make sure to make good on any problems or difficulties. Despite some very difficult and odd circumstances everything worked out as well as it could have.
edit: here’s the knife!
