I ordered a friction folder from Willem when I saw his knives on Australian Blade Forum. His user name on forums is k'roo. From 1st e-mail our communication was great.
He made ordering and choosing upgrades very easy. He gave me his advice on each option (steel, scales, backspacer, finish,...) and it was spot on.
He told me right away about problems with RSA post and that it will take little longer for delivery. When I looked where is knife with tracking number, it showed that knife is in different country. He jumped on it right away and found out that knife is still at post on airport in RSA, and send them mail to hurry up them. But he also offered to make me a new knife if I am not happy with situation. I declined that offer and knife arrived few days later. The knife was packaged very good and secure.
I couldn't be happier with knife. It is friction folder with 3.5" D2 blade, FFG, CF scales and orange G10 backspacer. I will post pictures on another thread in Custom knives part of forum. Fit and finish are very nice. This is my 1st custom knife and I carry it with me every second and wherever I go.
And the price is so low for custom knife + shipping that I don't know how he makes any profit.
Sorry for my English and so long post but this was my 1st custom knife experience so I am excited. I hope my future custom orders will go as nice as this one with Willem.
