Produced by William Henry Studios in 2007 this limited release folder combines the elegance of pearl with ultra-modern mokume gane forged from superconductivity wire. This is #48 of only 100 folders created that year. Measures 3 3/8" closed. "Superconductor" frame and bolsters, carved pearl handle scales with black pearl and genuine sapphire inlay, inlaid sapphire on the thumb stud and button lock, stainless and titanium fittings and sterling silver bail and beads on the leather lanyard.
William Henry’s Wave Damascus is created from 45 layers of three separate metal alloys. The center of each billet, where it intersects the cutting edge, is ZDP-189 stainless steel at Hrc 67. This core material ensures unmatched sharpness and performance, while the alternating exterior layers create texture, contrast, beauty, and blade flexibility. Each blade is hand-ground and polished, and a final etching process reveals the exquisite pattern of the Damascus steel.
The button lock and thumb stud are inlaid with blue sapphires. Stainless micro-screws create the final open-frame construction of the handle. The leather lanyard is completed with a sterling silver bail and beads. Accompanied by William Henry presentation wood box and black ostrich leather ClipCase for easy carry. Both the knife and the box are individually numbered. Only 100 of this model were made. This is serial #48 of 100. Includes certificate of authenticity.
