William Henry E10 EDC

You're welcome Sleepy122. I had not heard of Burger knives until now. I looked them up. Looks like they make some fine knives. I like the EXK1 also. Very clean design. The small tab for flipping the blade open is a nice touch. Mike

Now I'm looking at the small Sebenza as well -- what have I gotten myself into? I love the action on the WH, but tried a small Sebenza the other day and really like the solid feel of the Sebenza as well. The small Sebenza also seems to be a nice size for EDC. I also played with a Boker Plus Exskelibur II (which is the Boker version of the Burger Exk) and found that it's a little "fat" for me to EDC in the city, especially compared to the WH and the small Sebenza.

I'm thinking perhaps I'll buy a new small Sebenza 21 before all of the Sebenzas come with "Idaho Made" stamped on the handle (although that means I won't be able to get a S35VN blade). I'm thinking of waiting until the design change on the WH spearpoint to see if maybe they come up with something I like more. But if I get the small sebenza, that mean's I'll have to pass on the T12CF =/ Ah, decisions decisions.

I don't know...a Sebenza would be nice. I don't have the funds at this moment but I have been waiting for the S35VN blades. I think they are out now, at least in a few models. I saw a thread the other day where a number of folks were talking about their new Chris Reeve knives in S35VN. The Nayala has been S35VN for a while. I wouldn't let the "Idaho Made" thing scare you away from a knife with S35VN. I may be mistaken, but I think any recently manufactured knives from Chris Reeve will have the "Idaho Made" on them now. I don't think you would ever be unhappy with a Sebenza. Unless you're really, really, really fond of the T12CF, I would go for the small Sebenza with the S35VN. It will be more of a work horse. The E10's are very nice, just maybe not as heavy duty. Get the Sebenza now and the E10 a bit later - if you want my opinion.

You must be thinking of this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=819978. It looks like the S35VN is out for the large sebenza (havent seen any small sebenzas with it yet, except for the insignio small sebenzas). I have a couple leads on new non-idaho stamped small sebenzas and am leaning towards those. I figure there will continue to be a market for non-idaho stamped sebenzas if CR continues stamping their knives in the same fashion. However, I am indeed really, really fond of the t12cf, and so will sleep on this for awhile. Your opinion has been greatly appreciated and the sebenza is the direction I'm leaning in.

Fyi, I went with the small sebenza 21 w/out the idaho stamp :) (If S35VN ends up being the miracle blade steel, I'll just pay the $120ish CRK charges for a blade swap).
