Hi all, i'm interested in buying a high end knife (most i've spent is a $55), i'm thinking of buying a Wilson Combat Tactical 18 knife, what do you say about the Wilson Tactical knives?

Wilson is a young fellow who learned machining in his father's custom pistol business. He launched his knife business in around 2002 if I remember correctly. He was known for his model 1 which is an integral clip point hunter and showed off his machining skills quite well. He got into the folder business by collaborating with Ohio folder maker, Darrell Ralph and the results of that collaboration has produced some really nice tactical folders. His knives aren't cheap but they are of impeccable quality. I would feel pretty confident comparing them to the well-thought-of knives from Chris Reeve.

He makes the fixed blades himself. I'm not sure about the folders. They may be made by Darrel Ralph. I lost touch with him after I stopped selling his line. You'd have to ask him.

Some of the folders (Delta Wave) are made by Fox Cutlery (Italy) and are outstanding.

i think the only issue i could possibly have with those knives is that they are hollow ground (as mentioned on the site) and im definately not a fan of hollow grinds.. apart from that, some of those knives really do look appealing
