Wilson Combat or Les George

I have owned both and my vote is for the eagle but you shouldn't be disappointed either way. It really comes down to wether you like a beefy knife or one that is easier to carry. I did a review not too long ago, here is the link:

I don't own either now but I do have an all Ti ESR in the mail headed my way... I have a tendency to buy and sell knives as a form of "collecting" i can't afford to keep them all so it works for me. I will say that of all the knives I have sold the eagle is missed the most.

Go for a large Starbenza and break the tie.

My buddy here is right on, BTW, although I would have said Umnumzaan for a stronger blade, more tactical appearance.

The Wilson Eagle is a Collaboration knife made with Les George input. It weighs 4.8 ounces, about like a Sebenza.
The VECP is a bigger, heavier knife, CTS-XHP wonderful blade-steel, but 17% heavier at 5.6 ounces.
They are both good. If you like heavier knives such as ZT 0550/0560 series, go with the VECP.

I recently picked up an Eagle and am extremely happy with it! Nice and slim for the pocket and with the flipper the blade flies out with authority!

I have owned both and the VECP is a better knife, except the Eagle is thinner and slices better.

It all depends on what you're looking for. These are two different beasts, but equally as nice. You can't go wrong with either.

I was dangerously close to pulling the trigger on the Eagle but the recurve turned me off in the end. I decided to go a custom route when that much money is involved.

I had a VECP (regret selling it) and it is one of the best knives I ever owned. I want another one badly.

Thanks for all the input, this is an old thread. I ended up trying out both of them, but I ended up with a TAD Proto Dauntless. Better then both of them in my opinion. The thickness was right in between, has a deep carry pocket clip, and it is smoother then any knife I have ever owned, including and surpassing all my sebenza's.

Did you happen to get a picture of all three at the same time? Those all look awesome!

and surpassing all my sebenza's...

Ouch, you know how to hurt a guy! I was looking at a trade for a VECP, but it is 6 ounces, compared to 4.7 for a large Sebbie. I've had a 3.5" XM-18 spanto (0.165" blade thickness, 5.6 ounces), and that was too heavy and heavy-duty for me. I finally passed on the VECP although I know that many folks love them and XM-18's. I guess I am just more comfortable with a folder that is no heavier than about 5 ounces,...large Sebbie, Umnumzaan.
