Anyone have any information on the 2nd batch of Wilson Collaboration Umnumzaan’s? I ordered one about 2 weeks ago. Anyone else order one? Until yesterday, the Wilson site said Expected Date August 30, 2010. Then last night, the same day they were expected to be in stock, the status changed to Out of Stock. I guess they are gone even before they became available.

I am wondering if anyone has some inside information when they will be shipped or even if they are completed, yet. I sent an e-mail to Wilson, but have not heard anything from them, yet.

I am not sure how many knives are in this 2nd batch (I think the first batch was 50 units).

This wait is wearing me down, Rickster Need that new Zaan, You said its worth the wait trusting you on this one, Got that itchy trigger finger:D

This Umnumzaan is one beauty. The original did not float my boat all that much but still wanted it, and then this came along!!! O yes!

The Wilson desgn makes the Umnimzaan wwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy more appealing! I may actually snag one up. I did play with a friend's Umnumzaan for a week or two and never fell in love with it. I just FAR prefer my Seb for its simplicity if nothing else.

I was on the fence for a long time about getting the Umnumzaan. I really liked the knife features, but could never quite warm up to the pattern. Once I saw the Wilson Startac version, I immediately sold my SNG and ordered the Umnumzaan.

By the way, its been a while since I have seen you on YouTube. Hope you start making videos again. You made some of the best.

Yep, they're good. I was lucky enough to pick up one from the first batch. It's worth the wait. :)

I got one from the first batsh as well, and I can not put it down. Thinking about getting another.:D

Some more porn!

Good looking knife, might have to get one of those babies.......

much nicer than the original....

why not do horizontal grooves, that might be nice too....

I wonder if the pattern is continued under the clip - can someone look and tell me? I remove the clips from my knives - just prefer 'in the pocket' carry. It looks like Wilson Combat has them 'in stock' - anyone try them today?

Thanks!

No, it is smooth under the clip. It makes it easier to slide on your pocket.

Are the blades stonewashed or polished on the Wilson Umnumzaan? The earlier picture here was dull - looked stonewashed. The picture on the Wilson site might be - hard to tell. No matter - one is 'on the way' - should ship in the AM. It'll be my first CRK - I am excited! He said they had sold a bunch of their latest batch-o-fifty, if anyone is fence-sitting. I'll report when it arrives.

I cannot believe I spent that much for a knife - that's my high for one knife. I drove across town to look over a regular Um - nearly bought it - but it"s price of $460 + s/t seemed unnecessarily high. It was finally offered at $400 - as it should have been, but that Wilson pattern was calling my name - I can wait a few days. How do they ship? Anxious... me??

Congrats on the purchase.

The blade is stonewashed. Exactly the same as the standard Umnumzaan. Mine was shipped on a Friday, and I received it on Monday.

This knife is amazing. Superb fit and finish (of course), extremely sharp and super smooth (smoother than my small Sebenza). I was on the fence for a long time about purchasing the standard Umnumzaan. I could not decide if I liked the pattern or not. I saw the Wilson Startac version, and the rest is history.
