Greetings have been working on rebuilding this old wilton square grinder. Upgraded to a variable speed and have had success getting the platen to track however the 8 inch wheel will not track correctly. I tried putting electrical tape on the center of the drive wheel and tension wheel, tracking improved slightly....here is a clip of what its doing any suggestions before this turns into a boat anchor.
Thanks
Kris

Looks fine to me

On the arm on the top of the left side facing you, there's a place to put a hex key in
Find that, put a key in and turn it while the grinder is running

Maybe a 5/16" hex key

The belt should track from side to side

See page seven for the drawing of
Belt Tracking Adjustment

Checking Belt Tracking

2. Spin the drive wheel by hand and check track-
ing of the belt. If the belt tracks either right or
left, adjustment is required.

3. Use an Allen wrench to change the alignment
of the idler wheel.

Turn the idler adjustment
screw clockwise to cause the belt to track right.

Turn the idler adjustment screw counterclock-
wise to cause the belt to track left.

7. If the belt does not track properly, increase belt
tension
