I have a Wilton Square Wheel grinder and I want one of Nathan's platens and a platen chiller.

The Wilton has a platen is 7" x 1 7/8" platen attached with two bolts spaced 4 1/2" apart(c-c).
I've "spoken" to Nathan and he makes a KMG version with a 2X8 platen, 6 3/4" hole spacing.

Can this be done? How?

Here's my Wilton:

Thank you for the help,

I think you could unbolt the thick outer part of your platen and drill one or two new holes at the correct spacing for his platen

Before you did that, I'd try double sided tape first and see how long it lasts.

- and wether or not the overall length fits.

If not you make a custom attachment.

First step is to have his cooler in hand.

I suggest you make a new platen. You could buy one of the pre-cut multi platens sold by Polar Bear Forge ($60.95 shipped to Canada) and set it up to work on your machine. It could potentially give you a lot more versatility; different wheel sizes and a cooled platen. You would then be able to switch out the entire platen assembly to suit your needs.
