When I was little my Grand Mother had pigs on her farm. They lived in big free-range pens, and had quite a nice life before it was time to get on the truck.

I remember two particular noises they used to make:

Nhorgh, nhorgh. This was a low snuffling sound they used to make when they were checking things out.

Wheeakh, wheeakh. This was the excited noise they used to make when something new and/or possibly threatening happened.
