Talonite knife giveaway

EDI is producing the first production run of Talonite® knives. Talonite ® has been working beautifully in custom knives and we are excited about this production run.

We are holding a drawing for a free EDI Genesis knife in Talonite. To enter just post your name and a reason why you should win. We will draw the winner and post the results July 13. The original Talon (a neat three year old boy) will draw.

Originally we were going to just give away the Talonite ® knife because we thought it would be available mid-July. Turns out there was a misunderstanding and it will be much later. What we are doing now is giving away two knives. When we draw the winner will get an ATS-34 EDI Genesis 1 - combo edge from A.G. Russell immediately and the Talonite ® knife when it comes out.

We acted on advice when we said we would give the Talonite ® knife away immediately. We cannot keep our promise to do that so we are making amends by giving away two knives.

I should win because I've never won a knife before and I've got a neat eight year old boy who would love to have the Genesis combo edge. I'm also the first to post.

The reason I should get the give away knives is because I'm separating from the Marine Corps this month and I'm starting over in northern IL. My son is fascinated everytime I pull out a knife, and when he's five(four years and five months to go) I'm going to teach him the responsibility of using one. That and my wife is pregnant again(hehe-I hope we get a girl this time), and my knife purchases will be limited for a little while. That and I would have been first to post, but phantom 4 cheated

Why should I get it, hmmm...:
I'm a college student at a northern, rather liberal school where most people don't even know how to use a knife, not to mention carry one. I need to help keep the knife to student ratio to a safe level all by myself(almost), and this takes more knifes than I can afford.

I like my women like I like my knives: strong, sharp, well-formed and pattern-welded!

Why should I get the knife? I don't think that there is any special reason, I have been thinking of picking up a genesis for a while now, and If I win, I wouldn't have to. Also I never part with a knife that is given as a gift.

Why I would show it love and take good care of it Just like one of my own children. Besides my boy just loves blades, his smile shows it all.

Thank you for the knife, I like to say a few words abou....what? Oh I thought I won....hmmm why should I win, cause as over 2,000 others on this forum, I haven't won anything yet? Not good enough? well then.....

How about, My wife's name is Taloneena? And it be real swell if I could have such a neat knife that would be so close to my loving wife's name? (well her name could've been Taloneena, but it's not really, nuts, ahhh, an idea, I'll name my next child after the knife!)

I should win because there is no way I'm going to be able to convince my wife that I need to buy another Genesis, even if it DOES have a blade made of a new miracle material.

Logic just doesn't work with her.

I just broke up with my girlfriend of two years last night, and I'm pretty bummed out. Winning a knife would help me get my feet back under me, and maybe even help me smile again.

I would like a new knife... specificaly one from EDI. Unfortunatly, as I cant buy one anytime soon - winning one would be great. If I did win one...
I would buy only EDI knives for the rest of my life - AND I would preach EDI to every one I know who is wanting a new knife.

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some
moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

My daughter and I should win these 2! She needs one since she is going away all-alone to college and needs a quality knife like the Genesis I. I'll give her the ATS-34 one, since she's leaving and won't be home when you send that Talonite one to me

Besides, I don't think she would really appreciate the Talonite, while I know I would!

Wow, what a deal - a 2fer.

Actually, I've already posted this information on rec.knives, so this is just an acknowledgement of what a neat contest I think this is.

Thanks Tom. This is a great opportunity for some lucky knifenut or, in our case, family of knifenuts!

I don't think I should win a knife over any one else, everyone should be equal and have the same chances as everyone. We must all be knife knuts here, or want to be, why else would we be here day after day!

Of course I would like to win a knife just like most us would like to.

So, if I were to win, I would be totally happy with so, just as you should be.

Best of luck to all, and may the lucky winner rejoice. YES, I do hope it's me

When *I* win this knife, I shall sing its virtues across the land and praise its loveliness so that others may be desirous of sharp things made of the miraculous Talonite.

The ATS-34 version is just icing on the cake.

I feel that I should win this because of a couple of reasons...

1)So far I have won Two knives, and I feel that I am on a streak. Please don't make me feel like my luck has run out...

2)I sat next to Dexter Ewing at lunch at the Blade Show, and am still feeling a little inadequate..

No particular reason for me to enter this contest...other than to provide some small glimmer hope in an otherwise futile, desperate, ugly life...how can I go on?

The reason that I deserve one is that I'm the first to admit that I'm housebroken

also I want one too but I'm in college (that makes my wallet feel pretty tight) as well

And I come up with the strangest threads around

I shoule win becuase I have been wanting a genesis since I first saw one over a year ago, and my knife collection was just decimated when I left the safe where I keep most of my knives in open, andmy roommate threw a party, I got back, and most of my folders were gone. winning a talonite knife would really cheer me up.

Dear Sir:
I feel like I should win this knife for several reasons:
1. I have never won anything!
2. I have a wife and three young children.
3. I can't afford to buy one right now.
4. I'm currently a college student (which explains #3).
5. This weird branch of our government (called the IRS), claims that I owe them money thus once again proving #3.
6. The Bible says "thou shalt not covet", so I don't want to sin.
Thank you.
