Windows 7 Time to burn the house down

I've had to totally wipe out the memory on my pc twice. I've got windows vista. Anytime microsoft would do an update, it would wipe out all of the programs that I paid for and downloaded online. I set my my pc not to download updates. and I've not had a problem yet. I have registry cleaner that searches for for missing drivers,junk files, etc. and I have not experienced any trouble. I also have a separate security program that's much better that what came installed with my computer. Next time I'm buying a Mac.

I had problems with automatic updates and found that waiting a few days after receiving updates before installing them worked better. Microsoft would send me updates and then more updates to fix earlier updates that didn't work right. By waiting I could receive better fixes rather than adding more problems.
