Windows Phone?

Battery life is the reason I went with a Droid Razr Maxx.

Richard, if you have a common Galaxy (S2, S3, but likely not the off-Galaxy Galaxies), you can buy extended batteries/cases. Don't bother with the ones that plug into the USB port; go with the ones that are a larger battery with a replacement back cover. Prop, you can get one for your Optimus 4X HD too.

Or just buy a separate battery/charger. You can pick them up pretty cheap online; just don't get a no-name brand, as you can't trust them.

There are "battery saver" apps, but they're mostly useless, at least when it comes to saving battery (battery saver apps are often also task killers, which can free up RAM). Turning off WiFi, GPS, and Blutooth when not in use doesn't do any real good either. They drain practically nothing unless they're actually being used (ie: you're downloading something, using GPS navigation, or using a Blutooth device). Check your battery usage, and you'll see that the vast majority of your juice, probably 70-85%, give or take, goes to your screen. If you use your phone a lot, the best way to save your battery is to dim it as much as you can and comfortably use it. Or try using the automatic brightness adjustment option.
