Windows XP transferable?

I ended up just installing XP over the old version. That worked, although it meant that I had to re-activate (which worked fine), and reinstall all my hardware and a lot of software, which I am still working on. But most of my stuff was saved, which is good.

Edit: This post was made from the new computer.
