Description: Mastersmith Daniel Winkler created the Winkler II line in 2010. It is an alternate approach to an established tradition. Winkler Knives II is the result of processes Daniel Winkler developed over the past few years in order to provide axes and knives to teams within United States Army Special Operations and US Naval Special Warfare. Each piece in this collection bears the Winkler Knives II touchmark.
The WK II Madumi is another collaborative design between Daniel Winkler and Rafael Kayanan - the same guy Daniel worked with on the Sayoc RnD Hawks and the Bontoc. It is an exceptional fixed blade, perfectly balanced. The pointed, detail-oriented tip is well suited for both fighting and use as a hunter/skinner/utility. The thick full tang brings the weight back into the handle for a very secure grip. Finger grooves also provide a positive hold.
As a conventional knife, the Madumi is made of 80CRV2 carbon steel that is impact-resistant, sharpens easily and holds its edge well. The Caswell finish is non-glare and provides some rust resistance.
Accompanied by leather sheath.
The other knife is listed in the custom knife area just to lazy to take new pics.
