The Winkler Knives II Striker hammer is 3/8" thick (wide), and extends 1/8" beyond the handle material. Daniel Winkler specifically designed the Striker to center blade energy which eliminates / minimizes drift when cutting (and slashing). The handle ergonomics make a reverse grip comfortable when hammering with the Striker.
