The Operator is the result of a question asked of Veteran Kevin Holland who spent more than fifteen years serving as both a Navy SEAL and Army SOF Operator. Daniel Winkler asked Kevin what he would consider to be a perfect knife based on his experience. The 8-1/2 Winkler II Operator is the result of combined knowledge of the two men -- Kevin as a skilled Operator and Daniel as a skilled Knifemaker.
The Operator features a 4 inch distal tapered blade formed from 80CRV2 carbon steel. The slender blade is designed for quick action and deep penetration. A distal tapered tang ensures optimal balance and control.
The sculpted maple scales are set on the full tang for optimal grip. The Operator comes with a black leather sheath that can be worn horizontally or vertically.
