Knice knife for sure, congrats on ownership.
Just hazarding a guess since the blade is etched 'custom knife shop' that it was a special order(didn't know they do them) . Maybe for an employee, or other VIP. Also didn't know they had partial chipped flint S30V blades available. Haven't seen where they would put turquoise or any spacer on a custom shop knife. Could be a aftermarket re-handle Interesting🤔

Buck DID do Special Orders. They haven't since 2019 or 2020, though. (see the 2018 BF 2 blade 301 Stockman, and the various SFO's sold by SK Blades and Copper & Cladd.
C&C even had a few of the 100 series made with 5160 blades and on the fixed blades, a brass guard and pommel, along with wood grips.
The SFO' s by SK Blades had CPM154 blades (on the various 110's)
5160 and CPM154 are not custom shop options online.

My GUESS is "6" is the actual number made.
They were probably made for a VIP at Buck or one of their suppliers, to give out at Christmas or birthdays ... or perhaps a son's Groomsman's gift to all his Best Men? (unless the VIP was the getting married/remarried)
