Reuben's Train......:)

Reuben's Train

Ol Reuben made a train & he put it on a track
He ran it to the Lord knows where
Oh me, oh my ran it to the Lord knows where

Should been in town when Reuben's train went down
You could hear that whistle blow 100 miles
Oh me, oh my you could hear the whistle blow 100 miles

Last night I lay in jail had no money to go my bail
Lord how it sleeted & it snowed
Oh me, oh my Lord how it sleeted & it snowed

I've been to the East, I've been to the West
I'm going where the chilly winds don't blow
Oh me, oh my I'm going where the chilly winds don't blow

Oh the train that I ride is 100 coaches long
You can hear the whistle blow 100 miles
Oh me, oh my you can hear the whistle blow 100 miles

I got myself a blade, laid Reuben in the shade,
I'm startin' me a graveyard of my own.
Oh, me, oh lordy my, startin' me a graveyard of my own.

Repeat 1st verse

Johnny Cash, Walk the Line.

Really I don't have a favorite. That one just jumped into my mind. I am ADHD about music. I like all types, and don't have a favorite.

Really TOUGH! Far too many favourites, from so many genres! :D

'Build Me Up Buttercup' by The Foundations has been a long-standing favourite though, despite its rather strange lyrics, if that doesn't get me up on the dance-floor nothing will! :D

I agree that i also have many favourites...At the moment its a Bob Seager song...LIKE A ROCK..............................FES

Wow I don't think I could ever pick just one song! That would almost be as hard as picking one knife! :) I've been wanting a 340T for a while now though as that is what my dad always carried with him when I was a kid so I'm going to go with the first song that came to mind which is Chris LeDoux-This Cowboy's Hat. Thanks for the chance & such a generous give away!

The Nationals 'Exile Vilify.' It was first released in 'Portal 2' the video game, and since then The National has been my favourite band.

I have been looking into getting a 340T for a while now. Ever since I got a little 1080T for a steal, I realised how well made the old timers were, and how good the steel is.

Thanks for the give-away!

Thanks for the chance brother!

I'm in for the fun and a very attractive knife (unusual for me as a single-blader and European). Since my loudspeakered screen busted a nut, I'm soundless (and videoless)... Just from the top of my head, as we're talking "songs", I'd say the whole album "Yellow Moon" by Neville Brothers. And "Ten million slaves" by Otis Taylor, and... Stop ! You said "song".

"Ten Million Slaves" is awesome, one of the better openings to a Blues song ever.

This one got me hooked on Otis Taylor (long before I happened to see "Public Enemies" and then... Wham ! I was struck again : one of the best opening scenes ever with a terrific song ! Incredible. Too bad the movie then is rather meh, whatever...). OT is a fascinating musician : every song he performs is a surprise (and there is a load of them to browse on YT). However, "Ten million slaves" is still one of my all times favorite.
