WINNER ANOUNCED!!A thank you and collection milestone GAW

It is a very nice thing you are doing Clay and I thank you for that , but please do not enter me into the GAW . I have way more than SWMBO thinks I should have now , but I am happy to show you what I normally carry which is a Northfield 73 in Stag and a 77 Barlow . If I am going into a city , I will downsize and leave the 73 at home or in my car. Between the 2 of them , they will handle most anything I need to cut unless I need Pruner blade. BTW , I do enjoy your posts .

I'm in... thanks for the chance at the Buck! I switch between a 15 EO sheepsfoot in nifebrite and a 92 talon wharnie in green jigged bone the most... if one was to get the nod it would be the 15 as it was the first GEC I ever owned. Again, thanks.

Might be pretty, but definitely a user.

Only 25 303's!? You can do better than that. Just kidding, that's a pretty good start

You are right about it being a pretty user! I so wish 4 inch and up stockman were my thing!

Well turns out that since I somehow lost a 303 yesterday I won't be giving away a 303 because I have 25, I'll be giving away #25!

Edit : unless of course I buy another before next Friday...

I think if there is one knife that could even try to push a med stockman from my pocket it would be a 15 spear/sheeps capped end nifebright!

Thanks Clay, you're certainly right about "The Porch" being a great place to hang out. Just look at the outpouring of prayers and well-wishes for BigBiscuitBob and his family. You have a very nice collection!

My favorite carry is a 3¾ to 4 inch stockman, but I have so many I like that it's hard to pick a favorite. Probably go with this 1999 S&M.

I know I've said this before about that knife but...that is a perfect example of what my mind sees when thinking of a stockman

Sorry to hear that one of your prized 303s has gone missing, Clay. :( I hope that's only a temporary thing.

Thanks for your generous GAW, and I'd like to enter, please!
I have a Chinese Buck 373 and a Ganzo stockman, both of which seem to my inexperienced eye to be functionally equivalent to a 303. But there's something special about the classic Buck 30x line with the black composite handles (what's the official name? Starts with "V")! I don't yet have one of those iconic Buck folders, so I'm definitely in!

As for my everyday knife, I basically rotate through all the knives I own. They're all users, although most get carried for only 2 or 3 weeks per year. There are three I carry every day currently. One is this Case Sodbuster Jr with CV blade and jigged chestnut bone covers that I won 2 years ago this month in a BigBiscuit GAW. I'll display that one since Bob is on so many Porch dwellers' minds right now.

Thanks again for the cool GAW, Clay!
Good luck to all the entrants! :D

Well hello my friend. It feels like I haven't said that in a while, you been hiding? That black handle is made from valox and it's pretty indestructible from what I can tell. I do have to say I liked the Delrin better as I think it felt " softer" somehow, not has hard plasticy...I bet that's why the stopped using it lol. Anyway I'm honored to have you enter my little GAW.

GOOD LUCK

im in i usually pack a 15 spear ebony long pull or a irj s&m 99 thanks for the chance at a great buck

Ok guys and gals a quick thank you to everyone that's entered and those that stopped by to visit. Only 3 days left so here's a bump back to page one to see if we can't get a few more to play...only 3 days left

Clay, I have three knives that see more pocket time than the others from my "accumulation". When I go into the city and wear kakis I've been pretty monogamous with a 57 Geppetto Whittler. When in coveralls working in the garden or around the yard or working on a renovation, I grab my two blade hayin' helper. My all time favorite and carry when the others just won't do-this guy (TK Cuban):

I'm also not entering, but wanted to congratulate Clay on a great collection!! Also, wanted to comment on what a great forum this is......with a great group of people. I'm also a Buck fanatic......I'd say my favorite carry blade is a Buck 312. The fit, the feel and the way it rides in the pocket is wonderful. Best of luck everyone........

Never owned any Buck, so consider me in please.
This one never leaves me, even when not allowed...

Clay, thanks for the GAW, I'm in. I commend you on your gathering of twenty-five 303s, that's quite an achievement. As you know Buck's 303 has stood the test of time and is a proven world class knife, by any measure. I look forward to you showing your collection here on the porch as it continues to grow. -James

Ok folks last day to get in on the fun. I'll use a random number generator at 0500 tomorrow as I drink my first cup of the day. Thank you all so much for showing the knives you use and joining in on my first GAW it's been a blast. Had so many entries I may have to pick out a couple consolation prizes!
