I am going to giveaway a Azwelke Kydex sheath for the Becker BK2, we'll call it my 500th post giveaway. This sheath is very well made, Azwelke knows his kydex! It has great retention and I used it a couple times as a back pocket setup, worked perfectly! It is easy to remove the knife one handed and the edge does not his the kydex. It is for a BK2 with micarta, I will check tonight to see if grivory will fit but I am not sure it will.

You must be a Becker Head OR have 25 posts in the Becker sub-forum.

All you have to do is post a picture of a modification you have done to your BK2 and explain why you did it. Can be as simple as stripped and patina'd or a sheath mod. If your BK2 is un-modded just post a pic of it.

The winner will have to do a quick review when they receive the sheath and post it. Can be in this thread or a new one.

I will use a random number generator and draw the post number next Wed around 9pm. 01/25/2012 21:00. I got the shipping, it will be sent USPS Priority. CONUS only.

Sweet man, thanks for the chance :).

I stripped the coating on the main cutting surface of the blade. Partially because I'm OCD, and partially because it helps it glide through wood better. I had this patina on it for a while (until I got bored and tried to kind of polish it up). This shot also shows the Drop Leg sheath that I made for it. Cost me a grand total of $4 to make, and works quite well.

And I happen to have two stock sheaths for my BK2, and this is my other one. I rigged the stock sheath up for scout carry, and it works quite well. I also find the knife easier to pack around places in this sheath, because the whole kit is much smaller.

And a shot of how it mounts on the belt.

And the links to the different mod threads I have, in case someone wants to check out the rest :).

Great contest man! Congrats on hitting 500. I'm definitely in on this one.

This is my BK2 the only mod I have done thus far is put a nice micro convex on the edge. Man did that make a difference when chopping and cutting in general. A new sheath would be sweet seeing as how the one I have for it has the dulling problem.

Thanks for the giveaway!

So far I've stripped and sanded the entire knife (cuts better and don't like black knives much), added a vinegar patina and put some OD micarta on it; planning on some jimping in in the future.

I live outside the US, so I can't really participate (unless I'll pay for the shipping ?) , but I thought it's an opportunity to scan my BK2 :

Stippling and cords...

I stripped it, then a ferro rod notch, and a set of custom od green and black g10 with orange liners. I did the g10 myself, and used the factory hardware. Did the handles to give mine its own look, and the ferro rod notch kinda speaks for itself :)

Thanks for the chance and I'm in. Got my 2 and got some of the stock micarta and sanded and polished them.

Started out like this.

Congrats on the 500 and it looks like a fun giveaway!

Not really a sheath mod but a sheath replacement. I went with an Esee 5 molle sheath so I could carry more gear with the knife and to prevent the old sheath from dulling the blade. I am slowly stripping the blade each time I make a fire though! I hope to pickup some micarta for it soon. Thanks for the chance!

Sweet, congrats on the 500 and thanks for the chance! Keep on contributing the good stuff to make this forum a great place.

Here's my BK2, no fancy mods but I did "customize" the finish while chopping up some windfall palm tree branches :D

Here's my old BK-2. I wanted to see if I can make this knife look beautiful, and I think I succeeded.

Only problem is, I'm afraid to use it now, so it stays at home lookin' good.

I'd really like to have a nice kydex setup for my new BK-2 which will stay mostly unmodified. If neccessary, I will cover the additional shipping, or Lecter will be a good Freund and let me use his US shipping address :D

Hi,
I'm not sure if 25 of my posts are in this section or not. Here's a pic of one of my first becker's. In the last two months I have accumulated a BK11, BK7, and this BK2. If I qualify, please count me in.

Get to posting in the BKT forum you have a few days :)

Thanks for the chance to win and for including us non-Beckerheads (I'm on my way there).
Here's my BK2. I've filed a small area of the coating off the spine so I can use a fire steel. I've also wrapped the stock sheath with paracord and a section of old bike tire to hold my magnesium/fire steel. The easiest thing I did was clip a carabiner key chain to the belt loop so I can easily and quickly put it on or take it off. I just have to clip it to my belt loop instead of taking my belt off.

Also just incase I win, even though I'm in Japan I can still receive mail through USPS (FPO address).

Very nice guys, this is exactly what I wanted to see!

And clich you are a picture whore.
