I stripped the finish in preparation to do some file work to the 2. Probably going to start on that this week. After that will come a choil, convexing, and a patina. New scales are needed, and so is a sheath. I love this knife.
Yep. My beautiful BK2, with a micro-convex, and a "micro-patina" sitting with it's main companion, the brushed armor Zippo.
And there the poor BK2 is, sitting atop it's... let's say, "functional" sheath:barf:
Thanks for the chance to win an awesome sheath from such a respected sheath-maker, it really is very kind of you.
Mirror polish was a bi-product of the way I did the convex job (graduated sandpaper grit wrapped around leather strop ala virtuovice's method). The sheath in this pic was made for the BK2, but it actually fits my BK10 better, so I'd dearly love to have this Kydex rig for the 2. Thanks for the chance!
Here is my BK2 with its newly handled wood chopping companion. I've stripped her, sharpened her up to shaving sharp on my edge pro apex, and added stainless hardware.
Wow! You do not know what an honor this is. Real Azwelke Kydex!
You do not know how much I appreciate this.
Oh man, is my BK2 going to love not being constantly dulled by injection-molded FRN.
Tell Azwelke thank you as well, as I am not entirely sure how to reach him.
