while you can sure just upload a pic here to BF, it is way easier for me to use something like photobucket. free to sign up, then upload a picture there. pretty well self-guided process.

now once you've done that and have a pic in your photobucket library:
1) you'll have a pic/pics up in the photobucket library window/tab. just hover your mouse over the gear in the upper right corner of the picture, and it'll give you some options. one of which is 'get links'
2) click on 'get links'. it'll bring up a mini-window. bottom option is 'img codes'. just left-click on that stream of letters (starts with URL.....). it'll say 'copied' briefly, then go back to the letter string.
3) come back to this BF page/tab. in the reply box where you type replies, right click and copy. that string of letters will show up. done. type above or below it as desired. links to that picture until you remove that pic from your photobucket account.

if you want to check your work, click the 'go advanced' tab below the text box you're typing in for your response. you'll have the option to click the 'preview post' tab below your text window and see how it looks.

My deployment days are over & done but what a great gesture. Things like this can really make a serviceman's day!

tuesday bump. the more pics the better. let's keep it on the front page to get as many people to see this as possible.
 
wednesday bump, let's see if any servicemen are avoiding work by goofing around on the internet like i am.
 
we've got a couple deserving soldiers so far, let's bump it a couple times in the next day, see if we can get a couple more.
 
I figured there would be more entries than there are.

My dad would have loved this when he was deployed I bet. Thank you for the generosity of the giveaway and to all those who chose to wear a uniform for the country.

me, too. it looks like all 3 of the entries are deserving, so i'm happy to give it to any of them. win, regardless.

just a couple more hrs. i bet there are 3 guys chanting 'no more entries, no more entries, no more entries' right now :)
