The recent threads on the 300 series gave me the idea. I have two 301's that I bought in 1972. One has been used a lot, one has never been used.

Sooo... Arriving at the end of my first year with this forum, here is a thank you to the people who make the forum what it is:

I am going to give away my unused 301. Is it in NIB condition? Not exactly. It no longer has the box, and being in and out of storage over the years it has some slight rust/corrosion, especially on the inside of the spring, but it has the factory edge on each flat-ground blade. Is it a Camillus or Shrade? I have one of each and I forget which is the user and which the backup, not having either with me at the moment.

The rules:

The knife will be given away in a random drawing of people who post on this thread. I'll ship anywhere it is legal to. Sometime during Sept 28 I'll close the entries and randomly draw the winner from the posting numbers on the thread. I'll announce the winner on or soon after the 28th of Sept. and ship in October.

One post only on this thread per entry.
Multiple posts will disqualify the applicant.
To avoid sock-puppet entries, you must have joined this forum prior to September, 2010.

Time!

The contest is closed.
It's been fun reading all the posts from the contestants.

The winner is post #17 and the knife was shipped on 9/29/2010.

As the first post, I have the greatest chance of winning!
I'd take the used one... but a new 1972 Stockman, that's awesome!

kool, thanks for the give away. im in. i sure miss the one i had in the 80's, sold it in about '98.

Same here. Would be a great companion to my Camillus made 303. Thanks for the chance. Very classy move.

The first Buck I bought was in the 70's and it was either a 307 or 301. I paid $8.00 for it. Wish I still had it.
