In 1967, I bought my Buck 301 stockman in an army PX. For the next 25 years, it was my main edc as I was not yet that much of a knife nut, and being in the army I had to travel light. That Buck was used on 4 continents, including a tour in Vietnam. My children learned to whittle and handle a knife safely with that stockman. It was used hard on my job as a machinist untill I finally retired it in the early 90's.
Thank you for letting me have a chance at a new stockman to be my 'heavy duty' pocket knife for when my Case peanut is not enough knife. My old Buck has a place of honor in my dresser top knife collection, and a new one would compliment it greatly. A more versatile pocket knife has never been made. I used mine as a trout and bird knife, camping knife, and work knife in the shop.
