If the RNG picks one of my post numbers or someone that isn't "in", I just try again until I get a qualifying number.

I'm not really in (would be more than a bit odd winning the knife I gave you for Christmas), but if my number comes up, I wouldn't be upset if you gave the knife to Mrs Protourist, just to save Mack the agony of wondering if she was going to fall in love with it before he got to play with it like so many before....
