Congrats, bflying!:thumbup: Those are some nice old Barlows IMHO.
I'm repeating myself, but it's truth: leghog, these are some wonderful and generous GAWs you're running!:thumbup:
Woh! That is so cool. Thank you very much. Time to get out the leather and make a new slip for the occasion. The generosity on this forum is astounding.
I tried sending a PM from my phone through Tapatalk , but looks like leghog has them turned off. I'll try again tomorrow from a computer. Maybe there's an email option I'm missing.
Wahoo, look what arrived today. Leghog, thank you for your generosity. These are my first actual Made in USA Barlow's. No wait, I have one other, a Kbar. But it's recent production, not a classic like these. So these are my second through fifth US made Barlow's. Can you tell I'm really excited? [emoji16]. Definitely top shelf display, with one going into a pocket. [emoji41]
The very first knife I ever picked out on my own, and handed money across the counter, was for an Imperial Barlow at a Cub Scout day camp. I used the money sent with me to buy lunch. I was probably 8 or 9-ish. It looked almost exactly like the Atlanta Wires model (less the advertising). I had it well into my late teens before it disappeared. And I really regret losing it.
