Amir Fleschwund is the winner.

Please send me your snail mail address to xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oil the joints and please don't cause yourself a mere flesh wound. If you are gonna cut yourself, cut deeply. Leave a scar for remembrance.

Two Camillus 41 equal end senators. Don't think they were ever used.

Some how these survived my New Year resolution last year. Don't know how, but they did.

One recipient gets both knives. The dark one has the tang stamp (1960 to late 1970s) previous to the Rim Fire one (1989 to factory close in 2007).

Rules:

1. Firstly I ask that you not sell or trade these if/when you discover you no longer want them. I simply ask that you then give them away since that's how you received them.

2. It has been a fairly miserable winter for many of us in the northern hemisphere. I haven't gotten out in the wilds much at all this winter since I no longer need practice at being miserable. I miss getting out and am counting down the days until spring (67 days remaining). Post a pic of a favorite tree you see out and about or a pic of a favorite spot out and about in the wilds or at a park or such.

3. Give away is open to anyone regardless of where you live. I'll figure out how to get it to you provided there is some sort of postal delivery there.

The knives:

A couple of favorite spots in Prince William Forest National Park. A foot path cresent truss bridge and a roadway truss bridge:

Leghog what an exceptional idea for a GAW  The first picture is a shot from the Blue ridge Parkway one of my favorite get away drives. The second is a small waterfall on Crest Mountain. The third is from the deck overlooking my back yard where I lived for 38 years until recently and the forth is both my favorite tree (where the firewood is stacked up) and place to just sit relax and think in that same backyard.

It is the urban wilds, but the beach is the best part of what we've got around here, at least in terms of things unique to us. There are some nice State parks, but we haven't done an exploring of those yet (having wee little babies makes it a bit harder).

Funny you should call it paradise. Paradise is on the other side of the mountain, this spot is called sunrise....a little clue as to the whereabouts:)

I used google cheat and discovered that Mt. Rainier has a "sunrise" side. Did I win the cookie? I'd prefer to have discovered the whereabouts from first hand experience, though.
