This giveaway is long overdue and about a year in the making, but the time has finally come.

First a quick backstory :
I've become a diehard believer in the pocket organizer " EDC " method/ philosophy, and my absolute favorite organizer has been the Pocket Pico classic carry V2 from yellow birch outfitters.

About a year ago they came out with a V3 and I just had to order one but when it arrived I looked it over and instantly realized I'd ultimately prefer my old V2, so I decided I'd eventually use it as part of a giveaway.
You all have been so generous and so helpful with knowledge, so it's time to give back.

Now onto the prize
For this giveaway you will receive :

A brand new never used
YBO Pocket Pico classic carry V3 organizer, custom ordered with a pair of attachment loops in the rear zipper pocket.
The quality is every bit as good as my V2, I just prefer it to the changes made with this V3.

A brand new Maglite Solitaire LED in dark green.
A pair of Rite in the Rain on the go notebooks
A brand new Pokka Pen ClassiKlip combo
A brand new CountyComm mini pry bar

And I purchased an orange Case sodbuster Jr just for this giveaway, however I'm not very happy with the edge grind on it. I bought the last 2 they had , on clearance and the one I kept for myself had an even worse edge.
Both came quite sharp, just extremely uneven.

Because of this I chose an alternate from my collection.
A lightly used Buck model 302.

I will let the winner choose which knife they'd like to have.

The rules :
Regular contributing porch members only.

I will ship anywhere in the US ( sorry to anybody outside the US, shipping costs have gotten crazy )
I would ideally like this to go to somebody who wants to try the pocket organizer concept or is looking for a better one.

Whoever wins I ask that you please don't sell or trade anything, pass it along to somebody who might use it if you find that you aren't.

To enter
just say you're in , let's hear why you're interested in the pocket organizer, you can even post a picture of the pocket items you could stand to carry in an organizer.

I will let this giveaway run for one week then choose a winner.

Cool GAW Hickory n steel Hickory n steel !
I'm not in, I'm going to sit this one out. I was a recent recipient of another generous giveaway here on the porch.

That is a pretty interesting organizer though. I work as an industrial mechanic & can see that coming in handy. I'll have to give them a look.
Both the Buck & the Case will be great users to whoever receives them. Thanks for being so generous. This is why I like this place, all the generosity & knowledge sharing is great to see!

Good luck to all who enter!

thank you.

I think you should enter anyway if you think the organizer could come in handy.

I can't resist a new gear organization option. I need to try it. I know that all we had to do was say we are in, but I will show my standard EDC (including what I keep in my backpack that I usually take everywhere). I think you can see that I go overboard with the preparation, and why a pocket organizer sounds heavenly. To stay porch friendly, I blurred out the no-no-bits of one knife.

Im in! I have been wanting to try a pocket organizer for a while but havent yet. Thanks for the chance, if I win I will let everyone know how it works out. If I dont win, I will eventually make a leather organizer and let everybody know how its working out then lol

I’m in!

I have been researching organizers but haven’t given them a try yet.

Right now I usually carry a traditional folder, a SAK in the coin pocket, and a small flashlight. Along with the usual wallet and pen.

I’m somewhat curious as to how you usually carry your organizer. Is it in a front pocket or more of a back pocket style?

Also, thanks for doing this great GAW!

I'm in for this!
I've been a subscriber to the knife slip for my pockets and would like to try out the organizer for the weekend carries.

Thanks!

I carry it in my left front pocket.
My flashlight clipped into the same pocket.
I'm not really sure if the slot pockets or rear zipper pockets are intended as the front of the organizer because I believe it's expected that you'll remove it from your pocket to take your knife or pen out, but I carry it with the slot pockets facing forward and have no trouble removing my knife or pen without taking the organizer out.
I can also easily remove my pliers pry bar notebook or bandaids from the middle, I don't mind having to remove it to access the items in the rear zipper pocket.

Here is the kind of pocket bulk you'd be looking at when carrying this, of course this is without any additional things you might choose to put in it and whether or not you were to also use it as a wallet which is quite common.

Compared to others I've tried they're not too bulky.

The Buck 302 being a thinner knife would be my choice.

I'm in. I recently lost my favorite organizer pouch in an Uber (with my wallet and keys inside 😭) and when I went to try to find another one, discovered they're out of production.

The pouch was a great size (about 3.5"x5"), made of PVC-coated nylon and with a self-sealing waterproof zipper. It felt bombproof. It came from a popular EDC gear website that rhymes with "county prom", but they no longer show any mention of it and I can't find anything similar from anyone else. Maybe time to try something different.

Here's a pic of my old pouch (of which I'd love another), along with a #21 Bull Buster for scale. If anyone has a source for these, fill a brother in!

Ah ok. That makes sense. I like the concept 👍
