Winter Clothing Basics

Any garments made of Schoeller fabric are a good choice for a breathable, waterproof, quiet softshell.

I have had very good results with Mil-Spec polypro. For the money I just don't think you can beat it. I am also a fan of Merino wool.

For most applications and casual woods outings I think a set of $50.00 Expedition weight polypropylene base layers will be a vast improvment.
