Its a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack

The ruck weighs in at 38lbs..... Feels like 138lbs!!!!!!! (I don't usually bring this much)

The Max. Jumbo weighs 8lbs.....

Have fun man. Looks like you have it pretty well covered. Do you prefer the Hawk for performance, weight, or history? Or is it just a bada** tool? Cause it is that :D

Hey, thanks for the link, that thread was amazing (since no one called anyone else a name!) and had some good info in it.

Looks awesome...Have a blast.... Do you also take a sleeping bag?? or do you find the wool blanket is warm enough??? is there a special way you use it to maximize its efficacy?

PS Going through your kits item by item would probably make for an interesting video...Take care Bud...

Sounds like a great time. take a bunch of pics and let us know what did and didn't work.

What is an apple juice tin? and what is it for? Similar to an Altoids for your tinder?

It is just a big ol' tin can.... like a coffee can but a little taller. Those are the cans that are permanent fixtures beside the fire.... always warm and ready!

Like a botton on a fur coat, eh?..... good one..... now, you got me all itchy.... ewwwww

Have a good and safe time, Rick. I assume you going up to meet Alan. Hopefully, you'll share some of the goodies when you get back, for those of us, too old, too infirm, or too broke :o to do likewise.

Doc

Have a nice trip Rick, I am sure you will have fun. Ever consider one of those air horns? Much louder than a whistle.

There is one thing you seem to have forgotten: Camera! We ants pics my good sir! :D
