Thanks, pit. She loves the snow, but trudging through it on a long hike really wipes her out these days. Afterwards, she assumes her favourite spot on the couch and spends the rest of the day dozing.

She's 10 years old, give or take a few months. She's in great health, so I hope that she gets to enjoy a few more.

Great pics. What's the specs on that Hudson Bay?

The HB has a 7" blade, with O1 steel, a torched oak handle, and a combo flat / convex grind with a nice secondary edge. The flats were left unfinished in order to show the heat treat scale and add to the traditional look. The sheath is leather with big copper rivets. It handles beautifully in the kitchen and on the trail, and it remains my favourite camp knife.
