WIP - Andrew Jordan Commander in Elite Gold Damascus

In my mind it´s perfect!
Because this is a user and no show-knife! ;)

That is all that matters. I might have had the same question as Noctis, but your happiness is far more important than my opinion.

It does look like it is going to turn into a VERY nice knife. Thanks for sharing the images!

I can tell from first hand experience that the commander is an awesome knife. Don't own one, but handled it on several occasions. It's beautiful and made by a master if the craft.
You're a lucky guy d-fense! Stop by on the way back to germany after you've picked it up and let me have a look ;)

Isn't it besides the point to coat a damascus blade?
No actually, damascus is often non stainless and it's not always about the looks but also the steels properties.
The coating used on the commander still lightly shows the pattern and through it's subtlety gives an enhancement to the looks imo.

Incredible piece of steel and the fullers are a nice touch. Anxious to see the blade complete.

Today Andrew sended pics of my grail, ready to rock!!! (only the sharpening has to be done!)

I´m very happy about this awesome work and now I have to wait till Friday, to get it in my hands! :)

Wow, really nice! I love the subtlety of the spacer at the end of the handle and really love the look of the jimping going all the way across the spine. Congrats on the new blade!

I love the handles on A.J's knives! What is it made of? I wanted to say on the sheath you will not be able to get a full handled grip?
