This is the Bowie I just finished up that I had a previous WIP. It took a while to finish since I only worked on it between other knives. I am pleased with it for the most part. It's .125" Cpm154 at 61rc with a curly walnut handle. It has a 6" cutting edge and 5" handle. I learned a ton during this build and am looking forward to the next one! Comments and critiques welcome! I did not make the sheath but I do like how it turned out as well![/[URL=http://s1247.photobucket.com/user/mattr2589/media/image_24.jpeg.html]

You've done a really fine job Matt. That little extra bit of work fitting the guard payed off nicely. You should be very proud.

That is a damn handsome knife brother!!! I really like the guard shape alignment and transition to the blade--just excellent. I like the overall blade shape and handle contouring as well.
I'm hopeful to learn enough to finish a blade to that level someday. Oh yeah, I also really like the metal finishing overall.

Weidmanshell! (which I thin means good on ya!)

Thanks bud! I've never been much on shiny knives and have always favored the satin finish. I also feel that all the metal should match. If the blade is hand rubbed then so thould the guard and pins. I'm also a little OCD when it comes to things matching and being symmetrical!

Worth the wait. Really a great job.

I hope it wins an award at some show and finds a happy new owner.
