Here's my latest effort. Went more mechanized on this one ... broke down and got an angle grinder and a sander attachment for my drill. Just felt the need to get the rough pits and such off before doing some embellishment.
This is the 2010 frontier, I like the profile, light weight, and the width of the blade relative to the trailhawk. My favorite CS hawk so far.
I tapered the haft just a bit. Ground and filled off the edges around the head, and sanded the surfaces enough to better show whatever etching or engraving I cook up.
Now for the fancy work: pyrographed design on the haft, with pewter inlays, and some file and etching on the head.
