I feel silly even posting here with all the amazing blades you guys post. Not only is it my first knife and full of flaws, but it is a minimal design, and I don't know a whole lot about designing knives.
BUT, after putting the bevel on the blade and quickly wrapping the handle with some paracord, I held it, and well, you guys probably know that feeling!

I have a small collection of folding production knives, and it was Michael Janich's Be-Wharned (Blackhawk!) that really got me hooked a couple years ago. Pretty easy to see that in this blade.

Still needs to cleaned up a bit (the deburring on the big holes looks like garbage and the photos really show it off!), heat treated, and sharpened. A2 steel. mostly done on a Bridgeport, as well as a surface grinder and a sanding disk. cutting edge is 3.5 inches and overall length is 8 inches.
Thank you for looking.

Not my cup of tea, but it looks well done. Who did the heat treat?

Yeah, that's the other thing, it's a bit "out there", I don't expect too many people to really like it all that much. I've just been drawing this knife for so long, I just had to see it in person. My next knife will be a more traditional wharncliffe style fixed blade. That sentence was awkward, it's not yet heat treated or sharpened.

My younger brother is a machinist with a pretty substantial shop, he's been teaching me how to use the machines when we both have time, which is rare. I have very little experience with metal, but have a good teacher and access to good tools.

I like the look. A good heat treat and the chisel grind will get amazingly sharp.

Not my style either, but looks well made. There is one thing that needs attention....the tip of the butt....grind it at a small 45° angle or it will be eating your hand up.
