WIP- First knife I can say I made

1974 Schwinn Paramount Track
Full Campagnolo Record Pista group
ALL original, rebuilt with all NOS parts (except tires)
I am also the second owner of this bike.

Just got the final word from the buyer, its going to JAPAN!


Funny, I always refused to work on schwinns, but now they are all over my garage!

Looking good so far. Although if you're doing this all by hand I would just suggest that you give your grind lines some more consideration. Getting lines like that with just a file is going to be a rather tall order. Don't sweat it if it isn't exactly what you had in mind should you decide to change it a bit. There are plenty of guys on here (myself included) who rarely turn out exactly what was drawn.

Hope to keep following this as I love WIP's. The only other advice I will give is when you get to sanding DO NOT move up in grit until you have gotten rid of all the scratches from the previous grit. They'll never work themselves out as you move up no matter how minor they look. And to me at least, nothing ruins the look of a knife more than seeing scratch marks in the blade that could've been sanded out with a bit more time and patience.
