WIP- First knives in 09

I am finally feeling good enough to start making knives again. I started forging last Saturday morning about 6 AM. I lasted about one hour. Did the same for the next three mornings, doing a little better each day. Finally got 4 blades rough forged. I really like the new 3# Hofi hammer I got for Christmas.
All the blades were forged using Aldo's 1084fg. It moves great under the hammer. The first 3 were forged from a piece the size shown at the top of the pic. The last one from a smaller piece.

The small knife at the bottom of the pic is a HS graduation present for a special young lady. Her step dad is a friend of mine who loves to hunt. Miranda (Randi) is also a hunter. Years ago, with dad's permission, I gave Randi her first 22 cal rifle. I thought it fitting that I should give her the first custom knife that she will own.
Her dad has been pumping her with questions about knives and with input from him, this is what I designed. The handle is from a deer that he provided.
