Profile looks good. How about tanking the grind all the way up? The plunge looks fine where it is.
I don't think the first radius is meant to be a choil which is why I say the plunge looks fine where it is. I think it's a finger groove when wrapping a finger over the guard. We'll let the OP clarify that.
This is what I was going to go with but didn't know how it would look and looking at yours I like it so I may go with this route thanks alotand since this one also has a larger space between the plunge and finger groove, I will tell you that is because i was giving myself some leeway in case the plunge line got messed up and i needed to bring it back. I'm really new to this, so i figured i needed every chance to correct my mistakes.
Is this a chisel grind on this knife?Here is one I just finished with the finger groove exposed. Some my not like it, but I wanted a Wharncliffe style blade for the tip control. I think the exposed groove adds to that. Properly chamfered, it is very comfortable. ( i put more of a radius on the finger groove since this picture was taken, it made no difference in feel, but it looks nicer IMO)
