This is one of those times you have to appreciate that Case puts stainless backsprings on their CV knives. Carbon backsprings would have greatly complicated the rehab job.

Mark, you are right. It would really be a problem if the backspring would be carbon steel as well. With the stainless backspring it is not that big problem to do the cleaning job.

Nice restoration Andi,I wouldn't worry about the pitting,it gives it a nice vintage look.
