B Bob W Joined Dec 31, 2000 Messages 17,079 Jun 5, 2015 #22 I would continue soaking the blades in oil and wiping off. Most of that rust will eventually loosen and wipe free. The best way to 'clean' up those blades would be to use them. An hour's worth of wood carving and cardboard cutting would work miracles. And keep oil down in the joints to keep it from rusting up again.
