• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

WIP Wootz bowie "brute de forge" and Sambar

I like looking at your hands as much as the knife process. They look like mine!

PS: Sorry, the pictures are not in the right order! :ambivalence:

I absolutely LOVE the guard and ferrule. It's a shame you had to lose so much wonderful texture from the stag, though.

^Yep, I went from "WoW" to "ops" in one photo, but still going to be a beautiful knife.

I think I own the same lathe! :D

Impressive work. Not being a huge fan of knobby stag, I think the handle looks great.

Erick: you must come home! :)
I understand well for the Sambar, sometimes it was very fortunate of falling on the perfect (but I have no luck much). :-)
But I am very happy this one!
I like a lot! :RÉ

I love this Bowie's overall profile, which is greatly enhanced by the beautifully shaped guard IMO.

Beautiful shape and finishing!! and very interesting pattern!
I noticed the wootz pattern doesn't show in the upper part of the bevel...it seems to stop just a little above the hardening line, while usually when alloy banding is on a w2 blade the pattern is more evident in the unhardened part, and less visible under the hamon.
